The Open Door Team
The open door team is situated in the Careers Building and is open from Monday-Friday: 10am-4pm. They provide a single point of access for any student experiencing emotional, psychological or mental health difficulties. The team provides:
- Initial consultation
- Short term help for specific issues
- Signposting or referral to other services
- Case co-ordination
The Open Door Team is the first point of contact for students who may require counselling. They will carry out the initial consultation and then, if appropriate, refer to the counselling service. You can phone them on 01904 43(2140) or email them at opendoor@york.ac.uk

The YUSU Academic Affairs and Welfare Services
The Academic Affairs and Welfare Services provided by the students' union can offer help in a variety of ways including:

The Accommodation Office
The Accommodation Office is situated on the lower ground floor of the Information Centre, Market Square. They have a reception desk which is open to callers from Monday to Friday. The Accommodation Office staff will gladly give help and advice on any matters related to accommodation. They can give advice on private sector accommodation and temporary accommodation.
