You can use our Instant Messaging service completely anonymously through the blue button above. Please note that because Instant Messaging is a part of the service we offer it is only available from 8pm until 8am on University of York term-nights. Check the website for opening times during the holidays. To ensure you get the best and most consistent level of service possible calls are usually taken by two volunteers.
- If you cannot reach us or the connection is lost during the call then please feel free to try again or to phone, email or visit us.
- We only ever take a single call at a time - if we are on another call the IM client will time-out after 60 seconds. If this happens, please try again later.
- Although IM does work on mobile, for the most streamlined experience we recommend using IM via desktop.
If you're repeatedly having problems getting through to us, we recommend trying an alternative browser.
Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org any time, day or night, and we will reply to your email within 48 hours.
This service is, as with all the other aspects of our service, completely confidential. Through our anonymisation software we won't even know your email address.
You can email us to get something off your chest, to request information or even to have condoms, pregnancy tests, or chlamydia tests sent through internal mail to you.
Emails will be answered by two Nightline volunteers, to ensure you get the best and most consistent level of service possible.
