Visiting Nightline

The Nightline flat is open every night of the University of York term, from 8pm until 8am.

If you choose to visit us in person, we'll offer the same exact service as we do on the phone, over instant messenger or via email, though visiting our flat has advantages. Detailed below is what you can expect from our drop-in service, and where you can find us.

The Lounge

The lounge is a comfortable environment, where you can sit, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some biscuits and talk with our volunteers.

As with all elements of our service, whatever you say is strictly confidential and the volunteers will strive to be non-judgemental, non-assumptive and non-directive. You don't even need to have a problem to drop in - it's fine if you just want to call in for a chat!

Info & Supplies

If you so wish you can be invited to make use of our info & supplies room, where you'll be free to browse our collection of information on a wide range of subjects and services. There'll also be a computer with which you can access our online Info Hub.

You can also pick up a range of sexual health supplies free of charge, including condoms, pregnancy tests, and chlamydia tests, again with the strictest confidence in a judgement-free environment.
